Editing ISBN/CIP Layout and Design
Graphics *As of January 1, 2008, the $100.00 deposit on new book contracts is mandatory. The deposit will be subtracted from the total owed LHP2002 on each book contract.* Editing: $1.50 per page ISBN/CIP Number: The procedure to obtain the ISBN for books published has become more complicated as of August 2007. As a result, the $50.00 fee, which includes sending two copies of your book to the National Library of Canada, will be added to the total owing to LHP2002 as of January 1, 2008. Your book will be part of their permanent collection. Both of these cataloguing registrations are essential if the author hopes that their book will one day end up in Libraries and Bookstores. Layout and Design:
*Layout and design: paper manuscript on 8.5” by 11” white paper, typed and doubled-spaced or on a Disk (disk preferred) double-spaced, size of font (type size) 10 or 12 pt. **Typing of manuscript if not typed or a tape recorder $1.50 per page Graphics: Dependent upon size, type of paper, color or black/white and quality of picture. Quotes upon request. Plastic Comb Binding: Plastic-Comb Binding is available through LHP2002. Perfect bound and hardbound continue to be done by Leech Printing Limited, Brandon, Manitoba. Unless the authors wish to have their books printed, bounded by another company. If so, they are to let us know. Please e-mail us, or phone/fax us at 1-204-687-5107 for current prices. Quotations available upon request. Book Illustrations: Now your book can be illustrated with inexpensive, simple line drawings, greyscale or full-colour illustrations custom-made for your project. Quoted price is per illustration.
Readings: Before LHP2002 will arrange any readings for our authors, we must have the books in our possession. We will then forward and contact the Events Coordinator or Coordinators who will be assigned to the event. Shipping and Handling: Shipping and handling charges on ALL material on behalf of the author, is at the expense of the author. This includes bus, post, legal deposits, demo copies, books, etc.,. LHP2002 will issue a separate bill for these charges to the customer when all shipping and handling charges have been acquired. Gally Books: One gally book will be included free with your book contract from LHP2002 and Leech Printing Limited for a total of two. Additional gallys may be obtained at the cost of $25.00 each. Pet Calendars: Want a calendar with pictures of your pet hanging on your wall? Makes a great gift for family and friends! Supply us with pictures of your beloved pet, which will be returned to you, and let us put together a wonderful keepsake. Twelve pictures will make up the insude of the calendar. On the front cover you can have a picture of your pet, and on the back cover you can have the same picture or twelve thumbnails of the pictures inside. Book will be bound by LHP2002 in a comb-binding, pages will be glossy. |
